      There are many ways for creating a state of Mindfulness, during the retreat you will learn:

      Meditation

      Meditation is one practice that will help you to increase your awareness, manage mind chatter, and ground yourself in moments of stress. You will be guided to practice meditations that focus on the breath, body, and sound.

      Mindful Movement

      Some people have trouble sitting still to meditation. A great alternative is moving meditation such as mindful walking and Tai Chi. On the morning of the second day, we have a special guest presenter teaching a Tai chi class as an example of mindful movement.

      Mindful Enquiry

      It is the job of our minds to assess for safety and solve problems in order to keep us safe. We also create stories or explanations about ourselves, others and situations that we generally believe are true. Sometimes our thoughts or reactions can become highly sensitive or obsessive. Learning to pause, get grounded, question our thoughts, emotions and then thoughtfully respond keeps us healthy and contributes to a state of resilience. By learning about how our brain and nervous system function we can develop greater self-acceptance, and compassion. We can also learn to set respectful limits without becoming emotionally disconnected.

      Understand What Drives You

      Underlying our thoughts and actions are a complex set of beliefs and values. We have a unique activity to explore these. You will leave with a clear understanding of your priorities in life which will assist you in making decisions big and small.

      Personal Reflection Time

      Take time for personal reflection and claim a space where you can just be yourself. You may use this time to consider how you will incorporate mindfulness after the retreat.

      Supportive Environment

      Exploring new ways of doing things can sometimes bring up emotions that have been safely tucked away. Gina and her team offer kind and non-judgemental support at all times to help you process anything that comes up.

      Delicious Meals

      Our programs are fully catered, with delicious meals that are mainly vegetarian with some meat. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know when you make your booking. 

      Times

      Registration starts at 8:30am on Saturday  finishing at approx. 5:00pm. We start earlier on the Sunday at 7:45am and finish at approx. 5:00pm. Even though you may not be staying at the venue we still treat the experience as a retreat.

      Accommodation

      Accommodation is offered as an option at our retreats you will need to book your accommodation directly with the venue.
